Marie-Josee Laframboise, Netwo

This is the first monograph on the work of Quebec artist Marie-Josée Laframboise. Accompanying a solo exhibition curated by the Musée d’art de Joliette’s curator Eve-Lyne Beaudry and presented at the Ottawa Art Gallery in 2010, the catalogue surveys Laframboise’s creative process and conceptual practice since the early 1990s. The catalogue includes essays from contributing authors Eve-Lyne Beaudry, Andrea Fatona and Joan Stebbins, and explores how Laframboise’s site-specific works always address a particular architecture and utilizes available resources rather than traditional sculptural matter, constantly challenging and guiding the viewer.
