“All Our Heroes Will Have Their Day”
2016
5x7” digital print - $15
Graphite illustration.
"David Bowie, Lenny Killmeister, Glen Frey; all musical legends who passed so close
enough to each other, that the impact resounded loudly across the globe and rocked us
to our core. This sketch was created for an article about the subject of losing the ones
we looked up to most of our lives, and how they shaped who we are today, entitled “All
Our Heroes Will Have Their Day” by Toronto record label Label Obscura. It really made
us face the mortality of all things, including the rapid evolution of music and the
permutation of what we consider as “classic paradigms” as time wears on and trends
come and go, but preserving the legacies that carry on, forever."
