Elzbieta Krawecka's series Safe Space was created during the global coronavirus pandemic. Inspired by the calm of Ontario’s landscapes, Krawecka translated the sense of safety and shelter provided by the lakes and parks in proximity to her studio. At a time when the familiar modes of travel were no longer available, Krawecka turned to familiar landscapes for a detailed exploration of her immediate surroundings.
