Nathan Eugene Carson

Nathan Eugene Carson

Nathan Carson is a Hamilton based, multi-media artist. His paintings and mixed media works on paper explore figures, animals, and other hybrid creatures of his personal experiences and imagination. Richly pigmented and textured surfaces layer together narratives that integrate themes of Black identity, autobiographical memories, and elements of charged symbolism.

Nathan Carson received a BFA from the Ontario College of Art and Design. His drawings and paintings have been presented across Canada at the Drake Hotel, Toronto; Oswold Gallery, Hamilton; Carnegie Gallery, Dundas; Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto. Most recently, Carson’s work was featured at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto in his first institutional solo-exhibition, “Cut from the same cloth”.
