Heather Bridge is an artist from Hamilton, Ontario, specializing in art celebrating the beauty of the city and its surrounding landscapes. Through vibrant colours and bold brushstrokes, Bridge creates a tangible record of the essence of light and shadow, infusing her work with a sense of optimism, and invigorating energy.

The resulting artistic practice is a reflection on moments in nature where one feels a deep connection to something greater than simply oneself; channeling a specific emotion into each work, while also exploring her interpretation of the beauty of Ontario. Drawing influence from post-impressionist painters such as Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven, Bridge incorporates her signature bright colours, visible brushstrokes, and a stained canvas in each work, recently adding a subtle tension of geometric shapes and fluid, organic movements in her paintings. Within the contrast of these elements, Bridge’s conveys a deep emotive interplay between the beauty, and the power of our natural world.

After graduating with a degree in Studio Art from the University of Guelph, she pursued a Diploma in Graphic Design at Mohawk College. These design skills cemented her understanding of composition and design theory still visible in her work today.
