Hannah Faas
Hannah Faas is an emerging ceramic artist from Hamilton, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Craft and Design in Ceramics at Sheridan College in 2022 and her MFA in Ceramics at Kent State University in 2024.
Hannah is currently a 2024-2025 Artist-in-Residence at LUX Center for the Arts in Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a Craft Ontario Emerging Ceramic Artist award recipient and was awarded first place in the AX National Emerging Ceramic Artists Exhibition in 2023.
Her work has been featured in Fusion Magazine and Ceramics Monthly. Hannah has exhibited work across Canada and internationally in the United States and South Korea.
Hannah’s work explores themes of sweetness and frivolity and challenges the perception that sweet and frivolous things are often seen as submissive, naive, unprofessional, and overall lacking value.
