Marking Sealey’s return to figurative portraiture, Intimate Geographies explores the psychological landscapes of young adults through the intimate spaces they call their own. For each portrait, Sealey met with her subjects in their bedrooms, interviewing and photographing them within these carefully curated environments. The resulting works examine the bedroom as a site of identity, self-expression, and personal refuge, revealing how these spaces shape the lives and experiences of their inhabitants.
