15 diameter, each acrylic on paper, 5 units 38x38 inches, framed in white
Meigs’ "Elevator" series (2015), is comprised of 150 circular paintings, that celebrate and elevate themes and references from everyday life. Meigs chose to present them in groupings after researching the concept of 5 as a powerful number – numerologists talk about the quincunx (4 sides with a point in the middle), and it appears a lot in nature, whether that’s in fingers, toes, or a lot of plants.
