Sherry Park has dedicated her painting practice to the portrayal of landscapes. The landscapes depicted in her most recent series of works are inspired by the geographical area of the Cape Breton Highlands in Nova Scotia where she completed a 6-week artist residency program in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in 2019.
Park holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, through which she completed an off-campus study program in Florence, Italy. She is an elected member of the Colour and Form Society, the Ontario Society of Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including the Elizabeth Greenshield Grant and the Jurors Choice Award from Salt Spring National Art Prize which we received this year. Her work may be found in private collections in Canada. Park currently lives and works from her studio in Alton, ON.
