Kerry Walford

Born in Oakville, ON, Kerry Walford followed her passion for the arts at York University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honours. While at York, Kerry was able to explore a variety of mediums including; photography, print making, sculpture, but painting and drawing remained her mediums of choice.

After completing her education, she moved to Hamilton, Ontario – where she immersed herself in the city full of waterfalls, escarpment terrain and historical architecture. A recent move to Cayuga, Ontario now has her inspired by; the grand river, pastoral farm fields, and abundance of colourful sunrises & sunsets. In a statement about her work, Walford writes:

“I highlight what I see; beauty and simplicity which often take the form of rural scenes with hints of man-made elements. In a world which seems to be ever increasing in speed and forward momentum we often loose touch with the here and now and the beauty which surrounds us everyday.”

Walford’s have been exhibited in various juried shows including The Artist Project, One of a Kind Show, and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
