Anna Kutishcheva

In 2002, Anna Kutishcheva graduated from the Advanced Illustration program at Sheridan College. She also received private tutoring at the Moscow University of Folk Art, where she received her BA in 1990. Kutishcheva writes about her work:

“I work quickly and emotionally; usually finding right place, light, and state takes much longer than painting itself. North American nature, its unique unspoiled magic is my constant source of inspiration. The ancient way – feeling your way through nature: shapes of trees and rocks, shadows and lights – gives an excellent opportunity to express your soul. One day and place it’s cheerful, another – miserable and angry, but is always glorious.”

Kutishcheva works as a free-lance illustrator and fine artist, her illustrations and paintings appeared in MacLean’s, Ocala Style, Niagara Life, American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, Arabella and Canadian Brushstroke magazines.

Kutishcheva lives in Oakville, Ontario.
